Terms of Service

1. About these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the operator of Old Enough (“Old Enough”, “we”, “us”). They apply whenever you visit or use Old Enough, including Home, HookUp, Stories (Community), Activity and messaging, and Old Enough+.

By creating an account or using Old Enough you agree to these Terms and to our Community Guidelines, which form part of them. How we handle personal data is explained separately in our Privacy Notice and Cookie Notice. If you do not agree, do not use Old Enough.

2. Who operates Old Enough

Old Enough is based in Ghana and is available to adults in other countries.

3. Eligibility: adults only (18+)

Old Enough is only for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to visit or use it, and old enough to enter into a binding contract where you live. If the age of majority where you live is higher than 18, you must meet that age instead.

• You confirm your age when you enter Old Enough and give your date of birth when you create an account.
• We do not create an account for anyone whose date of birth shows they are under 18.
• If we have reason to believe a user is under 18, we will restrict or close the account and remove their content.
• You must not use Old Enough if you have been banned from it, or where using it would break the law that applies to you.

4. Your account and its security

• You sign in with your email address and a one-time code we email to you. There is no password.
• Never share a sign-in code with anyone. Old Enough will never ask you for one in a message or by phone. Anyone who has your code can sign in as you.
• Keep your email account secure — access to it means access to your Old Enough account.
• Give accurate information, including your real date of birth. One account per person; accounts are personal and may not be sold, transferred or shared.
• You are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed it.

5. Anonymous identity

Old Enough uses an anonymous public identity. When you sign up you choose an anonymous name, which cannot be changed later, and a generated avatar.

Other users can see your anonymous name and avatar, your age (calculated from your date of birth), your gender, your city and country, whether you are verified, and your activity on the service (for example your Stories, comments and reposts, your follower and following counts, and an approximate “last seen” indicator). People you follow, message or match with, or whose Stories you interact with, can see that you did — see the Privacy Notice for details.

Other users cannot see your email address, your exact date of birth or any street address. The Privacy Notice explains this in more detail.

Anonymity protects your privacy; it is not permission to break these Terms. You must not use an anonymous name to impersonate someone, and we may disclose information about an account where the law requires it (see the Privacy Notice).

6. What Old Enough offers

• Home — a feed of videos uploaded and published by Old Enough's administrators. Visitors who are not signed in can watch up to 10 Home videos; free accounts can watch up to 70 and save up to 25. Users cannot upload Home videos.
• HookUp — dating and discovery: you set who you want to meet, like or pass on people, and can message people you match with.
• Stories (Community) — public text posts, comments, likes, reposts and follows. A Story is shown for 30 days after it is posted.
• Activity and messaging — notifications, message requests and private conversations with text, images, voice notes and view-once photos.
• Verification — you can ask for a verified badge, which is decided by manual review. A badge is a limited signal; it does not guarantee who someone is or how they will behave.
• Old Enough+ — an optional paid subscription (see Old Enough+).

We may change, add or remove features. Where a change materially reduces what you have paid for, the Old Enough+ section below applies.

7. Acceptable use and prohibited conduct

Treat people with respect and follow the Community Guidelines. In particular, you must not:

• harass, bully, threaten, intimidate or stalk anyone, or keep contacting someone who has made clear they do not want contact;
• scam or defraud anyone, ask other users for money, gifts, financial details or sign-in codes, or promote investment or romance schemes;
• impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your age or identity;
• send spam, repetitive or automated messages, or unsolicited advertising;
• share anyone's private information (such as their real name, address, phone number, workplace or photos) without their consent (“doxxing”);
• post or send content that is illegal, promotes violence or hatred, or encourages self-harm;
• offer, request or advertise sexual services in exchange for money or anything of value;
• use Old Enough for any unlawful purpose or to help anyone else break the law;
• create accounts to get around a block, suspension or ban, or use more than one account;
• interfere with Old Enough: probe or bypass its security or limits, scrape it, use bots or automated tools, reverse engineer it, or manipulate likes, follows, reports, views or verification;
• download, copy or redistribute Home videos or other users' content outside the features Old Enough provides.

8. HookUp, dating and meeting people

• Only use HookUp to meet adults who want to meet you. A match or a like is not consent to anything.
• Respect a pass, an unmatch, a block or an unanswered message. Do not try to reach someone through another account or platform after they have ended contact.
• Be honest about who you are and what you are looking for.
• Old Enough does not run criminal-background or identity checks on users. If you decide to meet someone in person, you do so at your own choice and risk — please read our Safety Tips.

9. Stories and Community

Stories and comments are visible to other users. Keep public content within the Community Guidelines. Sexually explicit descriptions, private information about other people, and content that targets or degrades a person are not allowed in public Stories or comments.

You can delete your own Stories; deleting removes a Story from view on Old Enough. There is currently no option to delete an individual comment yourself, so please think before you comment. See the Privacy Notice for what we keep after deletion.

10. Private messages

• Messages are private between the people in the conversation, but that does not make abusive or illegal messages acceptable.
• Text, images and voice notes are deleted from Old Enough 24 hours after the recipient reads them. A view-once photo can be opened once and is then deleted. Unread messages stay until they are read.
• Deletion on Old Enough cannot stop the other person from taking a screenshot or photo of their screen. Only share what you are comfortable with someone keeping.
• If you report a message, a copy of that one message is kept for our safety team to review, as explained in the Privacy Notice.

11. Sexual content boundaries and illegal content

Old Enough is an adult service, but it has firm limits:

• Sexual conversation and content are only acceptable in private, between adults who have both clearly agreed to it.
• Never send sexual images or messages to someone who has not clearly asked for or agreed to receive them.
• Never pressure, coerce or threaten anyone into sexual activity or into sending images.
• No content that is illegal where you are or in Ghana, including sexual content involving violence or anyone who has not consented.

12. Zero tolerance for anything involving minors

In Ghana these are serious criminal offences — the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038) makes offences of, among other things, taking, producing, publishing or possessing an indecent image of a child (section 62) and using an online service to groom or lure a child for sexual purposes (section 63). Similar laws apply in most countries.

We will remove such content, permanently ban the accounts involved, and may preserve relevant information and report it to law enforcement or other appropriate authorities. Report any concern straight away using Underage concern in the report menu.

13. Non-consensual intimate images and sexual extortion

You must never share, or threaten to share, an intimate image or video of another person without their consent — even if it was originally sent to you willingly. You must never use intimate images to extort money, favours or sexual acts from anyone.

In Ghana, the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038) makes sexual extortion (section 66), non-consensual sharing of intimate images (section 67) and threatening to distribute intimate images (section 68) criminal offences.

Report this in the app using Non-consensual content, or follow our takedown process. Accounts involved will be banned.

14. Your content

• You keep ownership of the content you post or send (“your content”).
• You give Old Enough a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display and transmit your content only as needed to operate, secure and improve Old Enough and to enforce these Terms. This licence ends when your content is deleted from Old Enough, except for copies we keep as described in the Privacy Notice.
• You are responsible for your content. Only post or send content you have the right to share, and never content that breaks these Terms or the law.
• Public content (such as Stories and comments) can be seen by other users, who may repost or quote it using Old Enough's features.

15. Moderation and enforcement

We do not review everything posted or sent on Old Enough before it appears, and we cannot promise to find every breach. When we learn of possible breaches — through reports or otherwise — we may:

• review the reported content and the related account;
• remove or hide content;
• restrict features, revoke a verified badge, or suspend an account for a period or indefinitely;
• permanently ban an account;
• preserve information and report it to law enforcement where the law requires it or where there is a risk to someone's safety.

We decide what action is appropriate in each case, taking into account how serious it is and the account's history. Some breaches — including anything involving minors or non-consensual intimate images — lead to an immediate permanent ban.

16. Blocking, muting and reporting

• Block someone to stop them contacting you and to hide you from each other.
• Mute someone to stop seeing their Stories without blocking them.
• Report a person, a Story, a comment or a message from its menu, choosing the reason that fits best (harassment, spam, impersonation, scam, unwanted contact, underage concern, non-consensual content, threat, or other).
• The person you report is not told who reported them. Please only make genuine reports; false or malicious reports are themselves a breach of these Terms.

17. Suspension, termination and leaving Old Enough

We may suspend or close your account, or stop providing all or part of Old Enough to you, if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or to protect users or Old Enough. A suspended or banned account cannot use Old Enough, and any active Old Enough+ renewal is stopped when an account is banned.

You can stop using Old Enough at any time, and you can delete your account yourself in Settings → Privacy & data → Delete My Account, after confirming a code sent to your email. Deletion is permanent: you are signed out and can't use the account again. Any Old Enough+ renewal is stopped, so you are not charged again; the current period is not automatically refunded (see Refunds). The Privacy Notice explains what is deleted and what is kept.

18. Intellectual property

Old Enough's name, logo, design, software and the Home video library are owned by Old Enough or its licensors and are protected by law. You may use them only through Old Enough, for your own personal, non-commercial use.

19. Third-party services

Old Enough relies on other companies to run — for example for hosting, data storage, bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile), email delivery and payment processing (Paystack). The Privacy Notice lists them. Where you deal directly with one of them (for example on Paystack's checkout page), their own terms and privacy policies also apply.

We are not responsible for websites or services run by others that you reach from Old Enough.

20. Old Enough+ subscription

• Price: GHS 47/month (GHS), charged in Ghana cedis. Your bank or payment provider may apply its own fees or exchange rates.
• Recurring: Old Enough+ is a monthly subscription that renews automatically each month and is charged to your chosen payment method until you cancel.
• What it includes: Unlimited Home videos, Unlimited Saved Videos, Advanced HookUp discovery, See Who Liked You, Incognito mode. We may improve or adjust these features over time.
• Payments: payments are processed by Paystack on its secure checkout. Old Enough does not receive or store your full card or mobile-money details.
• Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails or cannot be confirmed, Old Enough+ features may stop until you subscribe again.

21. Cancelling Old Enough+

• You can cancel at any time from the Old Enough+ page in Settings.
• Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep Old Enough+ until the end of the period you have already paid for, and it then ends.
• A cancellation cannot be reversed. After your paid period ends you can subscribe again.

22. Refunds

Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any right to cancel or to a refund that you have under the law that applies to you. For example, Ghana's Electronic Transactions Act, 2008 (Act 772) gives consumers certain rights to cancel electronic transactions, subject to the conditions and exceptions set out in that Act, and says an agreement cannot exclude those rights. Consumer laws in other countries may give you further rights.

23. Disclaimers

To the extent the law allows:

• Old Enough is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it running and secure, but we do not promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.
• We do not promise that you will find a match or that anyone you meet is who they say they are. Users are responsible for their own conduct, on and off Old Enough.
• Content posted by users is theirs, not ours, and does not represent our views.

24. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or under consumer-protection laws that apply to you.

Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows, Old Enough is not liable for loss or harm caused by other users' conduct (online or offline), or for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.

25. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction over disputes about them.

If you use Old Enough as a consumer outside Ghana, this does not take away the protection of mandatory laws of the country where you live, and it does not prevent you from bringing a claim in the courts of that country where its law gives you that right.

Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

26. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms, for example when Old Enough changes or the law requires it. The version and date at the top of this page show the current version. For significant changes we will give you notice in the app before they take effect. If you do not agree to updated Terms, stop using Old Enough and cancel Old Enough+ before they take effect.
